Dussehra is a festival of victory on all evil elements in our lives. According to the great Hindu epic 'Ramayana', Lord Rama killed Ravana and the day is celebrated as Dussehra. On this propitious day, all the evils in and around vanish by the virtue of the goodness.
Festive spirit was in the air when the dutiful reverence for God in form of Dusshera was celebrated with all its grandeur during a special assembly conducted by the students of Grade Nursery and Prep at Prudence School Dwarka 22. Decorated in vibrant hues, the school had an ambience of joy and happiness. Assembly initiated with the blessings of God followed by a valuable thought and News of the day. Students were adorned in attractive outfits for the day to perform befitting skit from the great epic 'Ramayana' where they were dressed up as Lord Rama, Lakshman, Sita, Ravana, Jatayu, Vanar, etc. The celebration was to mark Lord Rama's victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil. Dance performance by students enthralled the audience and brought the essence of festive celebrations. Teachers highlighted the importance of the festival by signifying about tall effigies of Ravana that are set on fire.They also sensitized students to the ill effects of bursting crackers and stressed on the need to break free from conventional stlye of firing crackers. Incharges appreciated the endeavour of the students and encouraged them to celebrate the festival with high spirits and enthusiasm with an illuminating message.
