Basant Panchami marks the beginning of the spring season. The festival of spring is celebrated with full vivacity and joy amongst the Hindu people. The festival of Basant Panchami is dedicated to Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom. According to Hindu mythology, the goddess symbolizes the constant flow of knowledge and wisdom. Basant Panchami is also believed as the birthday of Goddess Saraswati.
On this spiritual note, a special assembly was organized by the students of Prudence School Dwarka 22. Festival celebrated in veneration of Goddess Saraswati commenced with the morning prayer followed by updation of date, news, thought of the day and a speech by the students who shared about the significance of the pious day. It was followed by a group song signifying the onset of Spring season that lent a feeling of peace and harmony around. The momentousness of the day was highlighted through reciting of Sanskrit shlokas followed by a theatrical dance performance wherein students swayed away with the chanting of the sacred mantra Om hrim aime hrim saraswati namah' which made the milieu very pure.
The auspiciousness of the day was exhibited by a flamboyant dance performance wherein students offered prayers to the Goddess creating jubilance with the presence of Goddess Saraswati with swan, Lord Shiv Ganesh, Brahma, Vishnu that captivated the environment of the assembly. The young learners felt the vibes of prosperity, knowledge, and wisdom.
