World Religion Day Assembly (Nur - Prep) - Prudence Dwarka 22
The World Religion Day is celebrated to highlight the ideas that the spiritual principles underlying the world's religions are harmonious, and religions play a significant role in unifying humanity.
An informative and interactive assembly on World Religion Day was conducted by the students of Prudence School Dwarka 22 in Grade Nursery & Prep. The students were incredulous to know that there are more than 730 different religions in the world altogether and every year third Sunday of January is celebrated as World Religion Day to promote the understanding of many faiths in all the religions. The students took turns to share valuable information about four of the main religions - Islam, Christianity, Sikhism and Hinduism. Students were dressed up in traditional clothes to shed more light on the traditional clothing of these religions. Students shared the important days, places of worship and the festivals celebrated by different religions. A skit followed by a dance performance was also presented, conveying the message that beyond all diversity of cultural expression and human interpretation, religion is likewise one. The assembly was concluded by sharing some important sayings from each religion which lead everyone to a common value- 'Unity and Peace'.
