"Earth without ozone is like a house without a roof.
Prudence School, Dwarka 22 celebrated 16th September as 'World Ozone Day' marking the importance of Ozone layer and its role in the environment.
Excessive use of chlorofluorocarbons in our daily life has led to the depletion in the ozone layer which may harm our earth and therefore will also have a negative impact on our lives. Observing the day was of paramount importance to make our young scholars understand that it is time to feel responsible and be accountable for our contributions to our mother earth.
Prudence, Dwarka 22 left an indelible mark in the minds of the parents through a colourful pictorial representation with an oath to protect the ozone layer by adopting various measures for example Go plastic free; Recycle, Reuse, Reduce; Plant a tree; Say no to Pesticides; Let's Carpool etc.
The collective efforts taken by the school might be a small drop in the ocean but is undoubtedly, a promise to adopt all the measures in order to reduce the ozone layer from depleting and protect the earth from evident disaster.
