Trip to Sariska (Astronomy Club)
Students of Prudence School, Dwarka-22 visited Sariska on 23 October, 2019 to take part in an overnight sky observation camp. There were 31 participants in total accompanied by their teachers.
Participants were given a traditional welcome on their arrival. Students were organized into groups and introduced to their guides. The long journey and hectic schedule did not dampen the spirits of the young space enthusiasts. After witnessing a fascinating cultural show and tasting delicious food, the learners embarked on their journey of exploring space. The educational session included Sky reading through Sky Map, Motion of the Stars, Observation and Sketching of Deep Sky Objects, Familiarization with Star Magnitude System and Universal Coordinate System, Planets and their visibility in the Sky etc. Our students participated enthusiastically in all the activities. In a nutshell, this trip was a memorable experience which will forever remain etched in our memories.
