Activity - Phases of the Moon (Grade 3)
"The moon is like a flower in heaven's high bower, with silent delight; sits and smiles on the night.
In sync with the Theme- Sky, Prudence Dwarka-22, recently conducted an activity on Phases of Moon, where different phases of this celestial body were discussed with students of Grade III. This helped the young learners explore the various reasons as to why the moon changes its shape. The session got the students excited as it gave an understanding about the increase in the size of moon from New moon day to Full moon day and about the decrease in the size of moon from Full moon day to New moon day. Packed with full zeal, they made their own charts on the same topic. Later, children were educated about the concept of rotation of the moon around the earth through an interactive audio visual. This enriching session increased the curiosity in these young learners to explore further about space.
