Dental Health Checkup (Nursery - Grade 5)
Smiling is Fun with Healthy Teeth and Gumsť
School children's dietary behavior, as related to oral health requires special attention. Dietary factors have been found to influence school children's oral health. High consumption of sweets is also common among school children. Schools play a significant role in spreading awareness about oral health. To provide a supportive environment for promoting oral health, Prudence School Dwarka 22 organized a Dental check-up in school premises for students from Grade Nursery to V. Dentists addressed the students and apprised them about the consequences of not taking appropriate care of their teeth which may give rise to multiple oral diseases. Elevating alertness that oral health problems are preventable, the team of the dentists were able to reach to students and reinforced their limited knowledge by advising them to brush twice daily, avoid junk food and visit the dentist periodically with parents. Such beneficial initiative by the school proved to be ideal for developing health and oral hygiene programs with children in age groups that are favorable for adopting preventive measures.
