The chill of winter is over, Spring is not far away. Happy Lohri!
Lohri marks the onset of prosperity and euphoria and is an extremely popular festival celebrated in North India. It is a harvest festival that also signifies the end of chilling winter cold.
To keep the tradition and culture alive, a special assembly on Lohri was organized by the students of Grade Nursery to III at Prudence School Dwarka 22. Students conferred a stupified skit depicting its significance in North India. They all pledged to celebrate 'A Smoke-Free Lohri' by not lighting up the bonfire and keeping the environment free from Air Pollution. They dazzled the stage with extravagant bhangra and gidda performances on traditional folk songs of Punjab and were dressed in vibrant attires validating true spirits of festivity.
An aura of gaiety and mirth prevailed that magnetized the audience and symbolized purity and end of negativity.
The assembly was graced by the auspicious presence of esteemed in - charges who bestowed their adulations by spurring students with their earnest blessings and words of wisdom.
