Assembly on Empowering the Girl Child
Women play a vital role in human progress and have a significant place in society. Needless to say, no society can be considered truly developed if its women are not active participants and contributors. They are the key catalysts for socio-economic change. The empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important end in itself.
To ensure women empowerment in the true sense, the young students of Prudence School Dwarka 22 presented a special assembly on 'Empowering the girl child', to enlighten the minds. They danced on a heart touching song "O Ri Chiraiya" showcasing the scope and outreach for girls to make choices through better skills, capabilities, and self-esteem in order to develop equitable relations within the family and the society. Students staged an eloquent skit that depicted the importance of education for girls and also sang an inspirational song that left an indelible influence on everyone's hearts. The assembly culminated by affectionate words of our reverent incharges who encouraged the students to practice equality and become responsible citizens of the country.
