"Take risks in your life
If you win, you can lead
If you lose, you can guide."
- Swami Vivekananda.
Prudence, Dwarka 22 commemorated the 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, maker of Modern India by celebrating National Youth day with great pride and gusto.
Young minds filled with high thoughts, addressed a virtual gathering of their peers to highlight the ideals and philosophies for which Swamiji lived and worked relentlessly. The students learnt how to "face the brutes" i.e to overcome their fears and inhibitions, to speak the truth always and be valiant personalities with 'muscles of iron ' and 'nerves of steel'.
The youthful volunteering of the students was a treat to the eyes as they exhibited tremendous ardor to share their self-composed poems, in addition to the speeches and slogans by the great spiritual leader. Addressing the sensitive issues faced by youth and their solutions, a panel discussion was also facilitated by our talented students through engaging dialogues and skill development measures. The overall impact was intense and profoundly motivational.
As Ambassadors of Growth and Peace, students emphasized the need for ‘washing hands’ and ‘social distancing’ through poems and couplets. They also expressed ‘gratitude to the community helpers’ who are working day and night to serve humanity. Their efforts were aimed at sensitizing their peers to continue taking all precautionary measures to fight the infectious disease.
Undoubtedly, Swamiji's thoughts and teachings would remain immortal in our youth, awakening hope in every child we come across.
